About

The Mission of The Healing Arts Resource Project is to create a space where we can provide broad access to integrative health services, products and knowledge. HARP empowers our clientele to take charge of their personal wellness and re-learn what it means to build a healthy community.

HARP is an umbrella for several healing modalities…

HEALING FOODS CAFE: We believe in and share the knowledge that food is powerful medicine. Our menu is created with high quality locally seasonal, organic products. We express our passion for living medicinal foods through the wisdom of the Chinese Five Element Theory because of how beautifully it illustrates the interconnection between our emotions, the systems of the body, and the properties of our foods, relating them directly to the elements, seasons and our local environment. All of our meals are gluten/dairy free and vegetarian, and we offer raw and vegan options as well. We follow this practice because it has grown apparent in a commodified food industry that people are often poisoned by the over consumption of these ingredients. It is wise for one to let the body rest periodically by enjoying fresh and gentle meals free of toxins. We love learning and teaching about the joy of great food!

BACKYARD FARMACY:  The mission of Backyard Farmacy is to help each of us relearn that we are in charge of our health and can become our own healer, by listening to the wisdom inside ourselves, each other and the plant medicines in our own backyard! We make our own line of bodycare, therapeutic aromatherapy and first aid products, with a focus on locally wildcrafted organic plant medicines. We also provide information on how to make these products at home through our weekly classes and workshops. The apothecary is open every day except Monday for walk in consultations with our knowledgeable staff. We are available to answer questions and create personalized formulas for our customers with our stock of bulk herbs, tinctures and bulk essential oils.

HARP bands with various natural practitioners on the third Sunday of each month to host a sliding scale clinic. We offer professional consultations to the public in exchange for donations according to each person’s ability to pay. It is our belief that people should have access to health regardless of their financial situations!

Please check our calendar for information on classes, workshops, and events. If you are interested in getting involved, feel free to contact us! We also are willing to work with you on personalized packages and shipping within the continental US. Our online store will be complete soon.
